Torino are working on signing Inter midfielder Joao Mario on a loan deal with a buy option attached, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.
The report details how the 27-year-old Portuguese midfielder, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2022, would be useful to the Granata, with coach Marco Giampaolo a fan of the player.
Torino have already opened talks with Inter regarding a deal and have reached an agreement for a loan deal with a buy option attached. Work has now started to convince the player to accept the move.
The player earns around €2.5 million net per season plus add-ons, but the Nerazzurri would be willing to pay a third of his wages whilst he’s out on loan.
The move could also see 28-year-old Italian defender Armando Izzo move to the Nerazzurri in exchange on loan, although a deal may be harder to reach.
