Depending on whether Inter sign a left or right wing-back, the situation for each position will be different according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
If Inter are to sign a left wing-back prior to this evening’s transfer deadline, Ashley Young will be utilised as a right wing-back and be the back-up to transfer window recruit Achraf Hakimi.
If Inter end up signing a right wing-back in Victor Moses though, Young will stay on the left and battle it out with Ivan Perisic to start on that side of the pitch whilst Moses will fight it out with Hakimi to start on the right.
Having been knocked back by Chelsea duo Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri, Inter are understood to have focused their attention on another Chelsea player in Moses.
Moses is no stranger to Inter having spent the second half of last season on loan at the club and during his spell he made 20 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he tallied five assists.
