Borussia Dortmund and Norwegian national team player Erling Braut Haaland has sang the praises of Inter and Serbian national team defender Aleksandar Kolarov ahead of tomorrow’s UEFA European Championship qualifer between Norway and Serbia.
“Serbia have great players in defence, above all Kolarov. He’s a football legend, with a golden foot. I’m sure he’ll be on the pitch but no matter who plays, I have to try to create problems for them in some way,” Haaland explained as part of the pre-match press conference today ahead of the match at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo.
Kolarov only just joined Inter in the recently closed transfer window from fellow Serie A club Roma and he has appeared in two of Inter’s three matches to date.
Despite naturally being a full back or wing-back, Kolarov has played both matches at centre back.
Kolarov will face a difficult task in stopping Haaland who is widely regarded as one of the best young players on the planet at the moment.
The prolific youngster has five goals in as many games this season and boasts a scoring record of three goals in four games with Norway.
