Photo – Inter Legend Walter Zenga: “473 Matches With Nerazzurri Shirt My Life, My Story”

Legendary Inter goalkeeper Walter Zenga has taken to photo sharing social media platform Instagram to reminisce about his spell with Inter.

The former Italian national team goalkeeper is widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers to have ever represented Inter.

Zenga came through the youth ranks at Inter and then spent some 16 years in the Inter first team between 1978 and 1994. He made a grand total of 473 appearances across all competitions for the club.

He posted: “I don’t like to post things from the past because the past never comes back, but there are beautiful, happy moments of true joy that cannot be erased especially when you are a little down.

“Here I needed this now, to feel the same intense emotions that this photo gives me. My expression, my passion, my strength all enclosed in a number, 473, the number of appearances I made in the Nerazzurri shirt, my life, my story.”
