Christian Eriksen Or Marcelo Brozovic To Start For Inter In Derby Vs AC Milan Italian Media Reports

Given the four positive COVID-19 tests in the Inter squad, everything has to be rethought ahead of the Derby della Madonnina according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Alessandro Bastoni, Roberto Gagliardini, Radja Nainggolan and Roberto Gagliardini have all tested positive for COVID-19 and the picture is not all rosy at Inter as a result.

All Inter players not on international duty were subjected to another round of testing after Gagliardini and Nainggolan tested positive and the results of these tests are expected today and the hope is that there will be no more positive test results.

Samir Handanovic, Ionut Andrei Radu, Daniele Padelli, Matteo Darmian, Andrea Ranocchia and Ashley Young, the remaining players not on international duty, are all in fiduciary isolation meaning they are just going between their homes and the training ground.

The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to explain that one of Christian Eriksen and Marcelo Brozovic, both of whom were deemed expendable during the recent transfer window, will start in the Milan derby.

Stefan de Vrij will also start at the heart of the defence with Aleksandar Kolarov and Danilo D’Ambrosio the most likely players to play alongside him.
