Legendary Italian football manager Fabio Capello has revealed that he has Inter down as his favourites to go all the way and win the Serie A title this season.

Antonio Conte’s Inter have made an unbeaten start to the 2020/21 Serie A season with them having won twice and drawn once in their opening three fixtures.

Inter came agonisingly close to ending their Serie A title drought last season with them finishing just one point off of arch rivals Juventus, who have won nine Serie A titles in a row.

The general feeling amongst pundits is that Inter have really strengthened their squad during the off-season and can give trying to win the title a right good go and Capello is also of this belief.

“Are Juventus the favourites? This year my favourite is Inter. They are my favourites due to their desire to change players and there is a well-stocked and high-level squad. Juve made excellent signings, but we have to see how they will be put on the pitch,” he explained in an interview with Italian radio station Radio Due on Thursday morning.

He then went on to speak about the increased competiveness in the league and his opinion on current Serie A leaders Atalanta, who have made the perfect start to the 2020/21 season.

“This time it seems to me that the opponents are much more competitive, first Inter and then Napoli. For the Champions League I see AC Milan together with Roma. Atalanta is very interesting, if Ilicic recovers he becomes the loose cannon, they are a team to be feared.
