Inter and Torino could swap Matias Vecino and Armando Izzo in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.
There had been talk of this swap taking place in the recently closed Summer transfer window but negotiations between the clubs ultimately never came to life but that is not to say that they might not come to life in the coming months.
Both players currently find themselves outside the project at their respective clubs and the clubs have promised to meet in January to hold talks over the potential swapping of the Italian defender and Uruguayan midfielder, the latter of whom is currently sidelined by injury until November.
The report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to explain that the two clubs could do a loan swap deal until the end of the current season with the aim of revaluing both players come the end of the loan period.
Torino would pay Izzo’s salary and Inter would pay Vecino’s salary and if the players end up being exchanged on a permanent basis with them being valued at €20-25 million, both clubs could make significant capital gains.
