Sint-Truiden sporting director Andre Pinto has described the decision to loan in Georgios Vagiannidis and Facundo Colidio from Inter as a ‘winning choice’ for all parties involved.

Vagiannidis joined the Belgian Pro League club on a season long loan during the recently concluded Summer transfer window whilst Colidio’s loan, which lasted the duration of last season, was extended for another season until the end of this season.

“The Belgian league is ideal for young talents to express themselves and for them to start performing. Therefore, when necessary, we focus on quality guys from more famous clubs with whom we have good relations,”
Pinto explained in an interview with Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

“It was a winning choice for all parties involved. We have talented players who can help us in the league. While in this case Inter can see their players gaining experience on the pitch while they play and the players themselves have the opportunity to demonstrate what they are capable of.”

Pinto was then asked what expectations he and the club have for the Greek and Argentine youngsters during their time with the club: “Let’s try not to put too much pressure on them but we would like to see them be decisive in helping the club to win valuable points.”

In conclusion Pinto was asked what he thinks the future will hold for the full back and the attacker: “We hope they can develop their qualities and we hope that one day, also thanks to our work, they can play and be important whilst wearing the Inter shirt.”

Vagiannidis is yet to make an appearance since his arrival at De Kanaries whilst Colidio has made eight appearances across all competitions to date this term, in which he has scored one goal and provided one assist.
