Ante Rebic will probably not be available to AC Milan manager Stefano Pioli for this weekend’s Derby della Madonnina against Inter according to a report from the online edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The Croatian attacker recently sustained a dislocated left elbow and he will undergo a check-up tomorrow on his condition but given he has not been able to work with his teammates, it does not have Pioli thinking there will be a positive outcome.
In all likelihood Rebic will miss the derby against Inter and will be back available to AC Milan for their Europa League group stage clash with Celtic. Samu Castillejo will be the one who will probably play in his place against Inter.
The report goes on to state that AC Milan’s medical staff are hopeful of being able to recover centre back Leo Duarte. Duarte currently has COVID-19 but AC Milan’s medical staff are confident that he will not have the virus anymore come the derby. If he does return, he will start on the bench.
