Achraf Hakimi did not return to Inter’s training ground this afternoon according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.
It had been widely reported throughout today that the wing-back would return to Inter’s training ground after completing his commitments with the Moroccan national team but as per Sky Sport Italia, the former Real Madrid player never turned up at the Suning Training Centre in memory of Angelo Moratti.
Marcelo Brozovic and Andrea Pinamonti, who were away with the Croatian national team and Italian under 21 national team respectively, however did return to Appiano Gentile.
The remainder of Inter’s players currently away on international duty are expected back in Milan from tomorrow and given his absence today, it can be presumed that Hakimi will return tomorrow as well.
Inter’s next match comes this Saturday against city rivals AC Milan in the first Derby della Madonnina of the season. The match between the Nerazzurri and Rossoneri is scheduled to kick off at 6pm local time.
