The match official appointments for the coming round of Serie A action have been announced with Maurizio Mariani assigned to referee this weekend’s Derby della Madonnina between Inter and AC Milan.

The 38-year-old referee has refereed four matches across all competitions to date this season, none of which have involved either of Inter or AC Milan.

Last season Mariani refereed Inter on three separate occasions and he refereed AC Milan in just one match.

Alessandro Costanzo and Daniele Bidoni will be Mariani’s assistant referees at San Siro on Saturday evening, where the match is scheduled to kick off at 18:00 local time.

Fabio Maresca has been assigned to be the fourth official for the match. Massimiliano Irrati will be in charge of VAR and his assistant will be Ciro Carbone.

Both Inter and AC Milan come into this match undefeated this season. Inter are in fourth with seven points whilst AC Milan are leading the league with nine points to their name.
