Former Inter striker David Suazo has shared his belief that Inter are a stronger side than city rivals AC Milan despite the fact Antonio Conte’s Nerazzurri lost the first Milan derby of the season at the weekend.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic fired AC Milan to a 2-0 lead within 16 minutes at San Siro and Inter managed to reduce the deficit by one by the half time interval but they were unable to restore parity in the match and had to suffer their first defeat of the 2020/21 season.
“Can AC Milan win the Scudetto? The Rossoneri are strong, but Inter have the best squad,” Suazo explained in an interview with Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, which appeared in today’s print edition of the Milanese news outlet.
The former Honduran national team forward joined Inter in 2007 from Cagliari and spent the next four years with the club before moving to Catania on a free transfer.
During his spell with the Nerazzurri, the now 40-year-old, made 41 appearances across all competitions. In his time on the park he scored eight goals and tallied four assists.
