Ashley Young is still testing positive for COVID-19 according to a report from the online edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The experienced Englishman contracted the virus 10 days ago on October 11 and his most recent test result was once again a positive one.

Young became the sixth player in the Inter squad to have contracted the virus and three of the players in Alessandro Bastoni, Radja Nainggolan and Alessandro Bastoni have all now recovered. Ionut Andrei Radu and Milan Skriniar are the other two players who have tested positive for COVID-19.

Young, who joined Inter back in January, missed this past weekend’s Derby della Madonnina defeat to AC Milan and will also miss tonight’s Champions League group stage opener against Borussia Monchengladbach.

It now remains to be seen when Young, as well as the other COVID-19 positive players, will return negative test results and be able to make a return to action.
