Inter have not been entirely convinced with some of the refereeing decisions made in the early part of this season according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
In the win over Genoa at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris this past weekend, Inter were denied not one but two crystal clear penalties, when the score line was 0-0.
Inter were not given a penalty when striker Romelu Lukaku was fouled by Mattia Bani nor were they given one when Ivan Perisic’s cross was handballed by Paolo Ghiglione. Fortunately, Inter did not pay for these refereeing decisions as they would win 2-0 thanks to goals from Lukaku and Danilo D’Ambrosio.
This is not the first game this season where Inter have been left unconvinced with some refereeing decisions. In the Milan derby, AC Milan’s Franck Kessie was not given a deserved second yellow card whilst there were also unconvincing decisions in the matches against Lazio and Benevento too.
