Inter have revealed that central midfielder Stefano Sensi has suffered a muscle strain in his right thigh via an official statement posted on the official club website.

The Italian national team player has missed Inter’s past two matches due to injury and an MRI Scan conducted today at the Istituto Humanitas in Rozzano has confirmed the injury as the above. Inter have also stated that his condition will be reassessed in the coming days.

Sensi has not travelled with the Inter team to Kyiv for tomorrow evening’s Champions League group stage match away to Ukrainian powerhouses Shakhtar Donetsk and it remains to be seen whether or not he will be back for this weekend’s match at home to Parma.

Sensi has appeared in three of Inter’s six games to date this season and in his 110 minutes on the park he has failed to add to the three goals and four assists that he tallied in his debut season with the club last season.
