Inter have been able to recover nearly almost all of the money lost due to having to play home games behind closed doors according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInter1908.it.

Inter lost an estimated €13 million due to having had to play games at San Siro behind closed doors due to the global COVID-19 pandemic but an insurance policy taken out in 2019 has allowed Inter to recoup some of their losses.

As per this report, the insurance policy, which was for ‘business interruption’ has enabled Inter to recover €10 million of the estimated €13 million lost.

Inter, like every other club on the planet, has felt the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on their finances but the recovery of this money will certainly ease some of the financial blow sustained by the Nerazzurri club, who, according to a reports, have recorded a loss in the region of €100 million as part of the 2019/20 fiscal year.
