A report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport has analysed Inter’s disappointing 2-2 draw against Parma yesterday.

The report details how the Nerazzurri have not beaten the Emilian side at home since April 2013, a painful streak for both the fans and the club.

The team clearly suffered without 27-year-old Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, and 23-year-old Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez disappointed again, continuing his run of poor form.

Referee Marco Piccinini made a clear error by not giving Croatian forward Ivan Perisic a penalty in the second half after he was fouled in the box, with VAR failing to intervene, leading many to criticise the usage of the technology this season.

The Italian referee was originally for the fourth official for the game but took over once the original referee, Luca Pairetto, suffered a muscle injury in the warmup.

Inter now sit on 11 points, in fifth place.
