Former Inter defender Daniele Adani discussed the Nerazzurri’s poor 2-2 draw against Parma on Saturday when speaking with former striker Christian Vieri on Instagram yesterday. His words were noted by Italian media outlet FcInterNews.
“Inter are a project that started again this season and have regressed a bit. They took a step back to go forwards. Inter want to dominate more, they want to grow at a squad level.
“Just think of signings like Arturo Vidal and Aleksandar Kolarov, only he can give balls like those for Achraf Hakimi or Ivan Perisic. Count puts in Kolarov to improve in build-up play.”
Finally, Adani noted how the Nerazzurri are still growing and that fans should not look to panic so early into the season.
“Now Inter have lost something in solidity, but they’ve done it to grow. Hakimi also started very strong, but in the last gamers he did not play well.
“Easy to judge, you have to see if Christian Eriksen will grow and allow Romelu Lukaku to miss five games. In my opinion we need to calm.”
Inter dominated the Gialloblu throughout the game, having 25 shots compared to the Emilian side’s five. Despite this, they found themselves 2-0 down after 62 minutes, with Ivorian forward Gervinho finding both goals.
Substitute Marcelo Brozovic scored the first goal back for Inter, before compatriot Ivan Perisic found the equaliser in the dying minutes of the game.
Inter will need to bounce back ahead of their next game against Spanish giants Real Madrid tomorrow evening, a vital game in the Champions League group stage.
Both teams have started the competition poorly and neither have achieved a win yet, so tomorrow’s game will give either team the change to jump up the table.
