Inter manager Antonio Conte will rely upon Arturo Vidal in tonight’s match against Real Madrid in the Champions League group stage according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

In his playing career, Vidal has come up against Los Blancos on 12 occasions between his spells with Juventus, Bayern Munich and Barcelona.

He has won four, drawn four and lost four and has scored for each of the club’s mentioned above against Real Madrid and if he were to score for Inter against them, he would certify himself as an anti-Real Madrid player.

The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to explain that the role of leader seems practically made for the Chilean national team player given the rich experience he has in football both at club and international level.

This is Vidal and Conte’s second time working together but rather than being an attacker, like he was the first time round, he is now a player who balances things out.
