Inter manager Antonio Conte’s salary makes him pretty much unsackable a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Libero highlights.

Inter have not started the season like they were expected to but Conte’s salary practically means his position as manager of the club is safe,

Conte took the reigns of Inter in the Summer of 2019 and he signed a three year contract with the club, which made him the highest paid coach in the history of Serie A.

The former Juventus and Italian national team manager earned €10 million net plus €2 million in add-ons in his first year in charge and will receive €12 million net plus add-ons both this year and next year.

In order to sack him and pay him off, the report explains that it would cost Inter a gross sum of €47 million, in the event a mutual termination package could not be agreed upon between the parties.
