Prior to this afternoon’s friendly, Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and Monza chief executive Adriano Galliani met for lunch and held strategic talks during this lunch according to a report from the online edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The pair met for lunch at Inter’s training ground, where the friendly is currently taking place between the two clubs, and as part of the lunch, the report claims that Marotta and Galliani discussed a possible future collaboration between the two clubs.

Talk of possible future collaboration between the two clubs has come about after Monza took Inter youngster Lorenzo Pirola on loan for the season. Michele Di Gregorio was also loaned to the Serie B outfit.

It now remains to be seen whether the two clubs come to some sort of an agreement over a collaboration in the future which could perhaps see more Inter prospects loaned to Monza among other things.
