Inter Midfielder Marcelo Brozovic Has Tested Positive For COVID-19, Croatian FA Confirm

What Inter has feared has now come to fruition as Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic has tested positive for COVID-19 whilst on international duty with the Croatian national team, the Croatian Football Association have confirmed via a statement moments ago.

Fears of Brozovic having contracted the virus had grown after Croatian national team captain Domagoj Vida was brought off at half time in the friendly match against Turkey, after his test result for COVID-19 came back positive.

Inter’s worries about Brozovic testing positive were increased further since Brozovic posted a photo of himself giving a piggyback ride to Vida on his Instagram account a day prior to the match against Turkey.
