Former Inter and AC Milan coach Alberto Zaccheroni discussed if he was disappointed in the work of coach Antonio Conte with the Nerazzurri so far this season, in an interview with Italian media outlet Tuttomercatoweb earlier today.
“Disappointed no, maybe more was expected from Inter but Conte has shown that he’s able to manage his teams.
“I don’t know if there are problems off the pitch, there is no longer that anger of Conte’s teams, there is not the right nervous tension.”
Inter are currently 7th in the league after seven games, sitting on 12 points, one behind rivals and reigning champions Juventus.
The Nerazzurri’s season started well, with wins over Fiorentina and Benevento, before the team stumbled in Rome, drawing with Lazio 1-1.
Inter would lose multiple players to injuries and Covid-19 ahead of their next game, the derby against AC Milan, which they ended up losing.
This preceded a disappointing Champions League opener against German side Borussia Monchengladbach, which they draw 1-1.
The team bounced back with a win over Genoa, their last win in the league to date.
Since then, Inter have drawn three times across all competitions and lost to Real Madrid in the Champions League.
