Noted Italian football journalist and known Inter fan Fabrizio Biasin has stood up for Inter and the current crop of players at the club amid their recent poor run of form.

Inter have won just one of their last eight matches and whilst the Nerazzurri players have struggled to perform when at Inter, they have not struggled to perform whilst away with their respective national teams lately.

“The players are all around the world doing their job. Those at Inter are doing well. Two conclusions can be drawn from this 1) Zhang pays to make half the world happy. 2) Inter have really strong players,” Biasin began his latest editorial piece for Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

Biasin then went on to indirectly hit out at some pundits for their recent comments with regard to who Inter should sign and shared his belief that it is only a matter of time until things come good for the Nerazzurri club.

“It is a fact, but it is also true that there is a multitude of pundits who raise their voices: “Inter should sign this and that!” as if the players were never enough.

“I do not agree. The team is complete and when play resumes they will be called to bring the engines up to speed. With that material and that coach, who is definitely among the best in the world, I believe it’s just a matter of time.”

Inter currently sit down in seventh place in the Serie A standings after seven games played with them trailing league leaders AC Milan by five points. The Nerazzurri are also sitting bottom of their Champions League group after three games played.
