Benfica are looking for at least €25 million to part ways with want away midfielder Julian Weigl according to a report from the online edition of Portuguese news outlet Record.
Weigl is understood to be wanting out of the Portuguese powerhouses having seen his playing time diminish at the Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica since Jorge Jesus became the manager.
Gabriel Appelt Pires has been the player that Jesus has preferred to Weigl, who is under contract with Benfica until the end of the 2024/25 season and earns a total of €2 million a year.
Despite Weigl only joining the club from Borussia Dortmund back in January, the report states that Benfica management would not be against his departure as it would be good for the club accounts.
They want at least €25 million and there are a number of clubs who are lining up to sign him including Inter, Juventus and AC Milan.
