Inter and Paris Saint-Germain could conduct a swap deal between themselves in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The two clubs could exchange midfielders Christian Eriksen and Leandro Paredes and it is likely that this swap will take place.
The salaries that the two players earn has a big role in the swap and although Eriksen earns more, Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo does not think it will be difficult to deepen the discussion a far as a swap is concerned. In short the deal is possible.
A swap involving Eriksen and Paredes may not be the only swap deal that Inter do in the first month of 2021 either.
The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to state that Inter and Napoli could potentially swap Matias Vecino and Arkadiusz Milik.
A swap is one of two ways that Inter could acquire Milik, who they have been linked with for a few months now. The other way is by paying to sign him but Napoli will need to reduce their €18 million asking price for him.
