Inter want to bring in a left wing-back, midfielder and a fourth choice striker in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.
Money raised through sales, perhaps those of Christian Eriksen, Radja Nainggolan and Matias Vecino, will be used to try and bring in a player in each of the above positions.
Emerson Palmieri , Marcos Alonso and Junior Firpo are all options under consideration as far as left wing-back is concerned whilst the report states that N’Golo Kante, Rodrigo de Paul and Ruslan Malinovskyi are all options when it comes to the midfield.
As for striker, Napoli’s Arkadiusz Milik sits at the top of Inter’s wish list. Inter wouldn’t mind acquiring him via a swap deal but given Tiemoue Bakayoko’s arrival in Naples, it is unlikely that Matias Vecino, who Napoli have previously shown an interest in, will be the trade chip for Milik.
It may be easier for Inter to sell Vecino abroad for €15 million or enter into swap talks with Torino which would see Vecino and Armando Izzo exchanged.
Olivier Giroud is also an option for Inter for the fourth choice striker role.
