In an interview with Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, former AC Milan player Demetrio Albertini has shared his belief that Juventus are the team best equipped to go all the way and win the Serie A title this term.

“At the beginning of the year I would have bet on Juve to win and Inter finishing in second place. The first phase of the season has told us that AC Milan and Napoli have what it takes to aspire to win, but I believe that Juve remains the best equipped to win,” he explained in the interview which appeared in today’s print edition of the Milan based news outlet.

Albertini was then questioned about Juventus manager Andrea Pirlo and Inter manager Antonio Conte, neither of whose teams have started how they were expected to in the 2020/21 season, and whether or not they will bot be able to recover their teams.

“I think so because the workforce is of absolute value. Pirlo cannot boast a great deal of experience but at his side he counts on a solid and important club that has chosen him and that will support him. Conte’s qualities are indisputable. It will be necessary to understand how the synergy with the Inter environment will continue.”

In conclusion he was asked who is the most decisive player between Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo, AC Milan’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Inter’s Romelu Lukaku.

“Ibra is the most decisive in relation to the team he plays for and the goals to be achieved. AC Milan is a team full of young players who rely on Zlatan’s experience and personality and the path of the Rossoneri will depend so much on his performances.”

Albertini spent 14 years as a player at AC Milan between 1988 and 2002 and he also played for the likes of Atletico Madrid and Barcelona during his playing career which spanned 17 years.
