Torino have announced that two players have tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of this weekend’s Serie A match away to Inter via an official statement posted on their club website.

La Granata have confirmed that the two positive tests have come from players who have returned from national team commitments but have not revealed the identity of the players to have tested positive.

They have however confirmed that the players in question are already in isolation and will follow the COVID-19 protocol.

As a result of testing positive, the two players will miss the match against Inter which will see the struggling Torino take on a Nerazzurri who have not started the season how they were expected to and currently sit in seventh place in the standings.

Torino head into this match sitting directly above the relegation zone in Serie A with them only sitting outside of the relegation zone due to having a slightly better goal difference than Genoa.
