Only three players in all of Europe’s top five leagues have scored more goals in this calendar year than Inter striker Romelu Lukaku has according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Belgian national team player has scored no less than 29 goals across all competitions for Inter since January 1 2020, a feat which just highlights the importance of him and his play to Inter.
Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski has scored the most goals of all players from Europe’s top five leagues in 2020 with him having found the back of the net on a sensational 38 occasions.
Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo has the second most with him having scored 33 whilst Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Erling Haaland has the third most with him having notched 31 goals.
Lukaku joined Inter in the Summer of 2019 in what was a club record transfer deal for the Nerazzurri club. He has scored 43 goals in 60 games for the Nerazzurri.
