The match official assignments for the coming round of Champions League group stage action have been announced with Anthony Taylor assigned to referee Wednesday night’s group B encounter between Inter and Real Madrid at San Siro.
The 42-year-old Englishman has been a referee since 2002 and predominantly referees in the English Premier League. Taylor has refereed a Champions League game already this season as well as international game in the UEFA Nations League and the UEFA Super Cup between Bayern Munich and Sevilla.
Gary Beswick and Adam Nunn have been assigned as Taylor’s assistants for the match which is scheduled to kick off at 21:00 local time. The fourth official for the match will be David Coote. Stuart Attwell will take charge of VAR and he will have Stuart Betts alongside him to assist with VAR.
Inter head into this one bottom of group B after three games played, desperately needing a win. Real Madrid are meanwhile in third place in the group.
