Former Inter striker Aldo Serena has shared his belief that Inter are an ambiguous team off the back of their match this weekend versus Torino.

Inter were 2-0 down to the Granata at the hour mark of the match following a very forgettable performance at San Siro but managed to turn things around and win the match 4-2 with Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez and Alexis Sanchez all playing a key role in the turnaround which Inter manager Antonio Conte’s team made.

“Inter are a hybrid difficult to understand, emotionally unstable. I would define them as an ambiguous just like the match against Torino,” he explained in an interview with Italian daily newspaper La Repubblica, which appeared in today’s print edition.

Serena, who also represented the likes of Juventus, AC Milan and Torino during his playing career, also touched upon the race for the Serie A title this season, a title race has been one of the most competitive in Italy for several years.

“This is an atypical, anomalous season which obviously depends on the virus but it is an intriguing competition, with this incredible Sassuolo side and with AC Milan and Napoli both very strong. After 9 years of absolute Juventus domination, a little variety wouldn’t hurt.”

Serena had two spells with Inter which totalled 11 years. The former Italian national team forward made a total of 223 appearances for the club, in which he scored 78 goals and provided 12 assists for his teammates.
