Inter’s Matteo Darmian and Ivan Perisic are expected to start as the wing backs against Sassuolo this afternoon, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.
The report details how coach Antonio Conte wants to rest Moroccan talent Achraf Hakimi and English veteran Ashley Young for next week’s Champions League clash against German side Borussia Monchengladbach.
Therefore, both Darmian and Perisic will start in the wing back roles against the Neroverdi today, allowing the other two players to rest.
Up front, Conte is also likely to give Belgian star Romelu Lukaku a rest, with Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez set to lineup alongside Argentine forward Lautaro Martinez.
Sassuolo are currently second in the league after eight games, two points behind current league leaders AC Milan.
