Noted Italian football journalist Sandro Piccinini has shared his belief as to what will be learned about both Sassuolo and Inter following tomorrow afternoon’s Serie A match between them at the MAPEI Stadium.
The two clubs are scheduled to kick off at 15:00 local time tomorrow in a match that will pit high flying second placed Sassuolo up against fifth place Inter, who have not made the start to the 2020/21 campaign that they were expected to.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side have been the real surprise package in Italy’s top flight at the early stage of this season with them having won five of their eight games and having drawn the other three. They have scored a joint league best 20 goals scored – alongside Inter – and are one of only three unbeaten sides in the league.
Inter have meanwhile four wins, three draws and a loss from their first eight fixtures in Serie A. They have 15 points to their name and a win could put them level with the Neroverdi.
“It will be very interesting confrontation, it’s the moment of truth for both Sassuolo and Inter,” Piccinini explained whilst present in the studios of Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was broadcast a short time ago.
