A report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport discussed Inter’s vital 3-0 win over Sassuolo yesterday.

The report details how the Milanese club had a frank confrontation in the locker room after their painful loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League earlier this week, with their response clearly visible on the pitch yesterday.

The Nerazzurri, who now are incredibly unlikely to progress to the next round of the Champions League, did not get distracted against the Neroverdi and focused well, securing a key three points against a strong opponent.

The team also showed that they could win without Belgian star Romelu Lukaku, and removing a trequartista also seemed to be a successful decision.

Italian midfielder Roberto Gagliardini also impressed, scoring his second of the season as he continues to grow under coach Antonio Conte.

Inter’s win means that they are now second in the table, two points behind AC Milan, who face Fiorentina this afternoon.
