Italian Journalist Marco Bucciantini: “Inter Better At Matches When Opponents Hold The Ball More”

Italian journalist Marco Bucciantini discussed Inter’s current position and their win against Sassuolo yesterday whilst speaking with Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia earlier today.

“I think that when the best are Darmian and Gagliardini, it is great news for Conte because it means that he is building the team as he knows how to.

“In Conte’s teams the trequartista does not start like that, he arrives there like Gagliardini does in front of goal.

“When those are the best, it means that Conte is coming. Then Inter needs Hakimi, they need the best, they need Brozovic to come back, but these are important signals.

“Inter are better at matches when the opponents hold the ball more, when they take care of it.”

Inter’s win against the Neroverdi yesterday means that they are now second in the league table after nine games, sitting on 18 points.

They are five points behind league leaders AC Milan, who have not lost a game so far this campaign.

The Nerazzurri’s next game is a vital Champions League clash against German side Borussia Monchengladbach.

It’s a must win encounter if Antonio Conte’s side want any hope of progressing to the next stage of the competition, considering that they are currently bottom of their group, with two points.

Inter have not won so far this campaign in Europe, drawing against Gladbach and Shakhtar and losing twice in back to back meetings with Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Inter’s next game in the league is against Bologna next weekend.
