Inter striker Lautaro Martinez’s agent Beto Yaque has confirmed that Marca’s report earlier today regarding the 23-year-old and Jorge Mendes is false in an interview with Italian media outlet FcInterNews earlier today.

“The news about Jorge Mendes is not true. Lautaro Martinez is fine in Milan.”

Marca’s report suggested that the 23-year-old Argentine striker had hired the Portuguese super-agent to help him find a new club in the upcoming transfer windows, with claims that he was unhappy with his current wages.

Manchester City are reportedly interested in acquiring Lautaro as a long-term replacement for the aging Sergio Aguero.

Inter have scheduled meetings with Lautaro’s entourage to discuss a contract renewal. His current deal expires in 2023 and contains a €111 million release clause, which CEO Beppe Marotta would like to remove.

Lautaro has made 13 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 876 minutes. In that time, he’s scored six times and provided three assists.
