Former AC Milan midfielder Massimo Ambrosini discussed Inter’s important 3-0 win over Sassuolo on Saturday whilst speaking with Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia immediately after the game.
“At an organization level, Conte’s team has changed. The three midfielders played in a different way. The team gave the feeling of doing well on the pitch and being compact.”
He touched on the recent performances of Italian midfielder Nicolo Barella, who joined from Caligari last summer.
“For performances at the moment he’s the best at Inter.”
The Italian also touched on the recent performances of Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal, who received a silly first half red card against Spanish side Real Madrid in the Champions League earlier this week.
“I didn’t think he was so negative, because the leadership he exercised was useful to Inter. He can improve, but hardly, beyond the performance swings, Antonio will do without him.”
Finally, Ambrosini spoke about which player Inter needs to recover most.
“A player that Inter must recover is Sensi, because he is different from all the others. He gives technical alternatives that change the face of a team.”
The 25-year-old Sensi, who is contracted to the Milanese club until 2024, has made five appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 127 minutes.
The former Sassuolo man has suffered from various muscle injuries this campaign that have heavily limited his appearances.
His season last year was also ruined due to injuries, with him being forced to miss massive chunks of the season with a biceps femoris muscle injury and a tear in the abductor muscle.
