If Inter manage to win each of their remaining UEFA Champions League group stage matches and progress to the next round of the competition, they will get a good amount of prize money according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.
If Inter win both of their last group stage games which come against Borussia Monchengladbach and Shakhtar Donetsk, they will pocket a total of €5.4 million, with each victory worth €2.7 million.
Inter will then receive in excess of €15 million if they make it to the knockout stages of the competition. Such money would significantly help Inter who registered a loss of just over €100 million in the 2019/20 financial year, which was heavily impacted by the global COVID-19 pandemic.
Inter head into tonight’s match versus Borussia Monchengladbach having picked up just two points from the first four games and have to win in order to stand any chance of making it to the next round of the competition.
