Borussia Monchengladbach manager Marco Rose has sang the praises of Inter striker and star man Romelu Lukaku ahead of their upcoming UEFA Champions League group stage clash with the Nerazzurri side.
Lukaku has been in stellar form this season for Inter, who must win at Borussia Park against Borussia Monchengladbach in order to stand any chance of progression to the next stage of the competition having collected just two points from a possible 12 thus far.
The Belgian national team forward, who joined Inter back in the Summer of 2019 from Manchester United, has made 11 appearances across all competitions to date this term, in which he has tallied nine goals and provided two assists.
“He is a player who greatly influences the way that Inter play, he is a fantastic athlete,” he explained to the media at his pre-match press conference which was held yesterday afternoon.
Rose, who has won 30 of the 56 games he has managed Borussia Monchengladbach in, then went on to sing the praises of his team’s captain, midfielder Lars Stindl: “He is our captain and plays his role in a magnificent way. He sets an example and works hard for the team.”
