Legendary Italian football manager Fabio Capello has shared his belief that Inter have something more than other teams do at the moment of the back of their recent turnaround in form which has seen them win each of their past two matches.
Inter were on a poor run of form but comfortably won 3-0 away to high flying Sassuolo at the weekend before following that up with a 3-2 win over Borussia Monchengladbach in the penultimate UEFA Champions League group stage match last night in Germany.
“I think that the Inter squad is so large that it can overcome physical and psychological fatigue. It is a team that, at the moment, have something more than the others,” he explained whilst present in the studios of Italian broadcaster Sky Sport 24 earlier on today.
“Lukaku is revitalised and looks in great shape. that and these results which build confidence are a big boost for Inter.”
Capello, who previously managed the English national team and AC Milan alongside a number of other clubs, then spoke on an area which he thinks Inter need to improve in.
“The Nerazzurri must certainly fix the defence. Too many mistakes have been made and the chances granted to their opponents are too many. Too many uncertainties are committed and are decisive.”
Inter have conceded goals at a much higher rate than they did last season. In Serie A, Inter have conceded 13 goals in their first nine games whilst they have conceded nine in five UEFA Champions League games.
