Romelu Lukaku was Inter’s best performing player in Inter’s crucial 3-2 UEFA Champions League group stage win away to Borussia Monchengladbach according to the player ratings published in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Belgian national team player scored Inter’s second and third goals in their win in Germany which has given them a chance at playing for qualification for the knockout stages in the group stage finale next week. Lukaku did so much more in the game on top of his goals and has been rewarded with a rating of 8/10.
First goalscorer Matteo Darmian and central midfielder Marcelo Brozovic were Inter’s joint second best players in the match with them receiving ratings of 7/10 for their efforts.
Inter captain Samir Handanovic, Stefan de Vrij, Nicolo Barella, Roberto Gagliardini and Achraf Hakimi all got 6.5/10 whilst Alessandro Bastoni got 6/10.
The worst performances on the night came from Ashley Young, Alexis Sanchez, Lautaro Martinez and Milan Skriniar, all of whom got 5.5.
