Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen will leave the Nerazzurri in January, with a long list of clubs interested in acquiring him, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews earlier today.
The report details how the 28-year-old Dane is ready to leave Milan after only one year because he does not want to sit on the bench for the whole season in the run up to next summer’s European Championships.
Inter are happy to sell him but don’t want to lose economically on the deal, and so want around €30 million for his signature. The player also earns around €7 million, rising to €9 million with add-ons, a high salary request.
The Nerazzurri are open to a loan deal, with a preference for an obligation to buy clause to be attached, or an exchange with a player that would better fit coach Antonio Conte’s tactical system.
Interest has come from the Premier League, his agent Martin Schoots has spoke with Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain’s interest has been confirmed and multiple Bundesliga sides are keen, including Hertha Berlin, Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.
The latter could look to take advantage of their strong relationship with Inter and offer an exchange with Corentin Tolisso, who would better fit the 3-5-2 formation.
