Inter central midfielder Arturo Vidal is almost certain to miss out on Inter’s final UEFA Champions League group stage match at home to Shakhtar Donetsk according to a report from the online edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Chilean national team player picked up a thigh injury during Inter’s 3-1 league win over Bologna at the weekend and as per this report he did not train today with his teammates.

Whilst not 100% certain, the report from the Rome based news outlet states that it is 99% certain that Inter will have to do without the former Barcelona player for Wednesday’s match versus the Ukrainian giants at San Siro.

Inter’s medical staff visited Vidal today and tomorrow he will be subject to an instrumental examination and as a result Inter manager Antonio Conte will be practically forced to play Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic and Roberto Gagliardini in midfield for the match.
