Legendary AC Milan player turned pundit Alessandro Costacurta has shared that he is disappointed in Inter manager Antonio Conte for the way in which he acted post-match following Inter’s elimination from the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.
Inter’s elimination from the competition was confirmed as they drew 0-0 at home to Ukrainian powerhouses Shakhtar Donetsk when in fact they had to win to stand any chance of progression.
Had they managed to beat Shakhtar Donetsk, Inter would have went through seeing as the result in the other match went in their favour with Real Madrid getting the better of German club Borussia Monchengladbach.
Post-match former Juventus and Italian national team boss Conte spoke with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia and ended up in a heated discussion with Costacurta’s fellow pundit Fabio Capello.
“I am very disappointed by my friend Conte. I’m very sorry that he didn’t respect us. He is a unique and generous person, but I didn’t like him tonight.
“I am very disappointed with this attitude,” Costacurta explained whilst present in the Sky Sport Italia studios after Capello and Conte’s discussion with one another.
