Italian football journalist Sandro Piccinini has taken to social media platform Twitter to hit out at Inter manager Antonio Conte following Inter’s elimination from the UEFA Champions League following a goalless draw at home to Shakhtar Donetsk.
As part of his post, Piccinini also criticised the former Juventus and Italian national team boss for the amount of minutes he gave to attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen during the match at San Siro with Erisksen only being substituted on in the 85th minute.
He posted: “Conte continues to talk about the episodes, bad luck, missed goals, lack of respect from the referees. Eriksen was only put on the pitch only ‘when Lautaro had no more’.
“The moment for a pinch of self-criticism has been postponed to the next opportunity.”
