The match official appointments for the coming round of Serie A action have been formalised with Davide Massa assigned to referee Inter’s match at home to Napoli on Wednesday night.
The 39-year-old referee, who has refereed in Serie A since the 2010/11 season, has refereed a total of 13 matches across all competitions to date, including matches in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Nations League.
One of the matches that he has refereed was Inter’s 2-0 away win over Genoa back at the end of October and in the 13 matches he has refereed thus far he has dished out a total of 52 yellow cards but no red cards.
Filippo Meli and Stefano Alassio have been assigned to assist Massa at San Siro in two days time whilst Francesco Fourneau will fulfil the fourth official duties. Gianpaolo Calvarese has been appointed to take charge of VAR and he will have Stefano Del Giovane alongside him to assist.
