Alexis Sanchez will not play for Inter in any of their remaining games in this calendar year according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.
The Chilean national team player injured his adductor muscle in his left thigh in Sunday’s 3-1 win away to Cagliari which forced him to miss last night’s win over Napoli. He will also miss this weekend’s match at home to newly promoted Spezia as well as Inter’s final game of 2020 which comes away to Hellas Verona on December 23.
Inter medical staff have decided to treat Sanchez using gym work and the swimming pool and the report goes on to state that Sanchez is aiming to make a return for Inter’s first games of 2021 with them due to face Crotone on January 3 and then Sampdoria on January 6.
This season Sanchez, who joined on a permanent basis in the Summer off the back of a loan spell, has made 14 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored two goals and provided three asissts.
