Inter manager Antonio Conte has advised players he does not consider to be essential to his team to find new clubs according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The former Chelsea boss is hopeful that Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio will be able to offload the players in order to bring in a couple of reinforcements in a new midfielder and striker.
A new left wing-back may even be sought in the event that Ivan Perisic departs the club for pastures new in next month’s transfer window.
The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to explain that Conte has not stopped thinking about Chelsea wing-back Emerson Palmieri but Chelsea are unwilling to let him go unless he goes permanently. Udinese’s Rodrigo de Paul is the favourite for the midfield but costs too much.
When it comes to the outgoing transfers, the report states that Matias Vecino will leave on loan, Nainggolan will leave, potentially for Cagliari, whilst Christian Eriksen, who has been linked with Manchester United and Arsenal, could join Paris Saint-Germain in a swap deal that would see Inter acquire Leandro Paredes.
