Inter took their 6th win in a row in the Serie A after defeating Spezia at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district thanks to goals from Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku.

Samir Handanovic – 6: As is now usual, didn’t have anything of note to do in either half of the game apart from catching a couple of crosses and booting the ball up-field.

Milan Skriniar – 6: Spezia pressed the defence very well but Skriniar didn’t have any moments of major worry. Controlled his side of the pitch very well for long periods.

Stefan De Vrij – 6.5: Had a lot more time and space on the ball today as Spezia didn’t really press him. Tried to switch play a lot. Much better defensively today as well.

Alessandro Bastoni – 6: Bastoni didn’t get caught out but is too timid on the ball recently. Didn’t show off the ability to quickly distribute a deadly pass or run with the ball.

Achraf Hakimi – 7: Was very well caged in the first half by Italiano’s tactics. They didn’t let him attack spaces but when he got free he made sure to score a superb goal.

Nicolo Barella – 7: Another quality game. Does everything in this system which includes intercepting passes, starting moves, trying to attempt fancy flicks to Romelu.

Marcelo Brozovic – 5: Not Brozo’s best game. He has played every minute since beating Covid and it showed. Lost his mind and was lucky not to be sent off. Needs rest.

Roberto Gagliardini – 5: Did his job defensively but everytime the ball went to him in an attacking move it turned into a gift for Spezia. Him and Young couldn’t combine at all.

Ashley Young – 6: As long as Gagliardini was not involved in passing the ball to him, Young troubled the Spezia full back. That mazy dribble and run deserved a goal.

Romelu Lukaku – 6: Very poor in the first half. Got involved a bit but couldn’t really make an impact in the final third. Great pre assist on the first goal, well taken penalty.

Lautaro Martinez – 6.5: A positive performance by Lautaro as he battled against numerous Spezia defenders. Still couldn’t get a goal that has eluded him for 8 games now.

Stefano Sensi – 6.5: A breath of fresh air over Gagliardini. The ball moved much better when he came on. His cross also was the one that won the penalty. Impact.

Arturo Vidal – 5.5: Looked slow and rusty. Conceded a few poor free kicks. Looks like he will need more time to get his touch back. Hopefully in time for 2021. Needed.

Matteo Darmian – N/A: Fell asleep as the rest of the defenders at the end and it cost Samir a clean sheet. Had a decent game since he came on but that goal wont please him.

Danilo D’Ambrosio – N/A: Came on just as Spezia were beginning to attack Inter’s right flank. Shut it down immediately and even managed to make a few forays forward.

Ivan Perisic – N/A: Just like DD, he came on to play as a right winger to shut down that side of the pitch. Did the basics well, nothing of note with or without the ball.

Antonio Conte – 6: Wont be pleased with the goal that Inter conceded but his plan of grinding out results is working so far. Maybe some first half goals will help.

Michael Fabbri – 4.5: Gave away a lot of soft free kicks and missed a red on Brozovic. The penalty didn’t need another look as it was obvious. Good job that VAR was there.

Inter – 6.5: Not a Pazza performance that left Interisti hiding behind their couches. 6 wins in 6 and now Inter need to keep the pressure up for the Verona trip.
